Dear anonymous,

I've sat back and kept my mouth shut because I know you're just trying to get a rise out of me and I didn't want to give you that satisfaction. When I realized how seriously desperate you were becoming, calling us whores for going on vacation, arguing with people in my comments, threatening to steal my "bitchy" kids and saying you were sitting outside of my house watching us, I think it's time I speak up.  Are you listening closely?! This is the only time I'm going to address you and your attempts.

I don't know who you are or what I did to piss you off so badly that you would waste your life away stalking my blog and trying to bring me down with you. So please, explain your hatred?! Or do you even hate me?! Is it that you just have nothing better to do in your free time (Free time meaning every waking minute because you constantly check back to see if your comments have been answered). Are you married? Do you have kid(s)? If so, I don't see HOW you have the time to try to annoy me like you do. I just don't understand it. You don't even read the posts. You just comment away with dumb comments to try to get under my skin.
News flash: not working. You're desperate and sad and obviously have no life. Go pick up a hobby or something.

On that note, I'm gonna end here and leave you with a song.

And in case you're viewing this from a cell phone or something.... I'll even post the lyrics for you:

I haven't been to church since I don't remember when
Things were going great 'til they fell apart again

So I listened to the preacher as he told me what to do
He said you can't go hating others who have done wrong to you.
Sometimes we get angry, but we must not condemn.
Let the good Lord do His job and you just pray for them.

I pray your brakes go out running down a hill
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill
and knocks you in the  head, like I'd like to
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flying high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are honey, I pray for you

I'm really glad I found my way to church
'Cause I'm already feeling better and I thank God for his words.

Yeah I'm going take the high road,
And do what the preacher told me to do,
You keep messing up and I'll keep praying for you.

I pray your tire blows out at 110.
I pray you pass out drunk with your best friend and wake up with
his and her tattoos.

I pray your brakes go out running down a hill.
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill and knocks you in the
head like I'd like to.
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flying high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are, near or far, in your house or in your
car,
wherever you are honey, I pray for you.
I pray for you

And since I'm a southern girl, well honey, bless your little heart.

Featured Friday. Meet Melissa!!

Today I'd like you guys to meet my friend, Melissa! She's super cute, super sweet, a mom of two and covered in tattoos (so of course I love her). She's real, she's not afraid to speak her mind and I'm glad to call her a friend.

Melissa

Hi guys! My name is Melissa & I write A day in the life of a mom and a wife. My blog is pretty new but I created it to blog about my life, my kids, my husband, and also share my crafting stuff that I do...mainly quilting. On top of that I will also be doing beauty product reviews & possibly some tutorials for hair or makeup as well.

I'm 26 (and a half!) years old & I'm married to my best friend. His name is Shayne & he is a tattoo artist, and a very talented one at that! I know everyone is going to think that I'm biased because he's my husband but I'm really not...he's just really freakin good! We've been married for almost 5 years now & together for 8 and we have to awesomely cute kids Ayden (6) & Lily (3 in just a few days). I'm a stay at home mom & most days I really love just being home with my kids, being a mom, cooking, cleaning, running errands, doing my crafty stuff, and cleaning like a madwoman! I'm insane about cleaning & I spend a LOT of time doing it. Clutter & messes give me anxiety, so I guess you could say I'm the exact opposite of a hoarder. I'm also a licensed hair stylist and a nail technician & I also used to work for Lancome cosmetics as a beauty advisor. Some days I miss working & doing kick ass makeup on people, but I absolutely LOVE my job at home. I'm hoping to get busier with my blog & quilt making & open my own Etsy shop with my friend. Keep an eye out for that later on!

Anchorage, good food, lots of shopping and a crap ton of pictures.

Ok, prepare to be BOMBARDED with pictures!!
And click on them to enlarge them.
Anchorage was amazing and gorgeous!! We ended up staying two extra days due to a giant blizzard back home. Crazy right?! A blizzard in ALASKA?! Who knew! But yup-my arms are still shaking from TRYING to shovel my driveway! We are completely snowed in!! When we got home, I couldn't even get my front door open because of all the snow. Anyway, Anchorage-we shopped... a LOT! (My husband might not be too pleased when he sees the bank account. Haha!! But in my defense, we all needed new clothes and I only packed for the THREE days we'd be there, not the FIVE we ended up being there). We ate amazing food. I haven't eaten that much good food (that I didn't have to cook) in about a year and a half!! TGI Fridays!! Ihop!! Golden Corral!! Longhorns!! Arby's!! Mmm!!!
Oh and when we were on our way home, about 2 hours out... I discovered that there is a Forever21 in Anchorage!! Needless to say, I'm pretty bummed that I didn't know about it!  I'm a forever21aholic!

While we were up there, we took the kids to the zoo. My handsome man got to walk around all of it with Kristina while mommy sat in the car with a cold and cranky little girl. I had NO clue that all of the zoo was outdoors.  The gift shop made a good chunk of change off of my dumbness though when I had to get two hoodies, a coat, a fleece and a hat.  *sigh*
Then we took the bittles to the INDOOR WATERPARK!! We all had a freakin' blast!! Handsome man almost got lost. *sigh* and he brought in his backpack after we said not too.  He snuck it in without us realizing it but learned his lesson when someone else went home with it. (His leapster, his leapster case, 3 leapster games, some cars, some trains and who knows what else he had in it).
We wandered around the mall--Holy hell, the mall!! A REAL MALL!!!! (Damn you Fairbanks for thinking that Bently Mall is a mall.  Hubby likes to call it Bently HALL-haha Punny huh?! That's why I love him!)

The pics above are the bittles enjoying their rootbeer floats at Red Robin and my new, pretty necklace.
The pics below are random drive pics.

The hill to our hotel.

How cute are my babies all sleeping together?! The statue of food(?!) was at Red Robin. They were amazed by it.  It was HUGE compared to them. haha.

The first night there, the handsome man and I had the stomach bug that's been going around. Poor Kristina got it a few days later and Miss Princess had it the day before we went up to Anchorage.  We're all better now though, thankfully.
A few more random pics thrown in for you.

I think Alaskans are dyslexic. I think it's supposed to be "elktuna"
Oh and we went swimming in the hotel pool as well.  Look how cute my bittles are in their little swimsuits!

Uturns are LEGAL in Anchorage!!! How weird!! We did a few just to say we did and COULD do them!

That pretty much sums up my trip to Anchorage! Hope you guys enjoyed the pics and missed me as much as I missed you!!
Love, A.

This momma is exploring....

Anchorage, Alaska that is. My dear friend convinced me that we both needed a tiny getaway after tons of crazy stuff happened. (read last posts blog comments if you wanna get some of the crazy stuff...)
So she suggests we go spend a few days in Anchorage!! HECK YEA!! the trip was wonderful, the 8 hour drive seriously wasn't bad. 2 hrs of it was windy and a bit scary but the rest was smooth sailing. The kids and the kitty did great!! Saw lots of "watch for moose" signs and saw a few moose! Will have tons of pics for you when I get back.
The first night here, me and my baby boy spent it throwing up. :(
We spent yesterday recovering and did a bit of shopping and eating. (Anchorage has good food!!! So far we've ordered Mexican-not so yum. And we ate at Red Robin! Yum!)
We are over whatever it was. Today we are going to go to the zoo and the water park. Yay!! The kids are soooooo excited and who I am kidding... I am too!!!!
Lots of pics to come!
Just wanted to update you guys on why I've been MIA. I went from too freaked out to post anything to running away and hiding for a bit.
<3
**also please ignore typos and weird made up words. Posting from my phone app. :)

Let's talk about people.... part 2.

Last night I told my son that we were going to go to the indoor park tomorrow (mommy gym on base) and he was going to get to play with lots of other kids. YAY right?! WRONG! He starts CRYING. Like hysterically crying and sat on my lap and it took me a minute to calm him down so I could understand what he was saying--"i don't wanna go to the indoor park, the kids will tell me to go home". HORRIBLE right?! My poor baby!! I calmed him and told him we were going to play with new kids that were SUPER excited to play with him and that they would NEVER EVER tell him to go home and they'd always want to play with him.  Sad and calmed, I put him to bed....
Now to backtrack a bit on a story that I debated on ever bringing up (until tonight and my child's broken heart)...The other day hubby and the kids and I all went to barnes and nobles. In the back of the store, they have a little train table for kids to play on.  Well after I got my coffee, hubby went to browse so I took the kids back there to pick out a book each and to let them play while we waited on daddy.... My son rushes over to the train table, super excited to play on it.  Oh there are kids there--even more excited!!
FIVE kids (one boy, four girls), all gorgeous, blonde hair, new clothes, NICE clothes, all matching, no adult.
My son walks up to them and says, "Hi, I'm Finnie. I'm three!!"  They just stare. These kids all range like 7 and under. They ignore him.  He doesn't get discouraged, he tries to grab a train and play.  They make no room for him, they sort of block him out. I'm sitting there so proud of him for introducing himself and trying to play.  One of them picks up a train and he says "I have Hero at home" the girl just looks at him and then at me and then at him like we're stupid. He says "Hero! (points at the train in her hand) I have Hero at home".... same reaction.  Then the little boy stares whining for his sister's train--she hands it right over and just lets him win.  (He was old enough to NOT get away with whining and getting his way).  One of them start talking about the fishie thing in one of the trains and my son says "its a lobster!!" She says "I think its an octopus" (This was the youngest girl that actually interacted with him). He says "oh an octopus" in his little still learning how to say certain words voice. And then he's asking for a train--they won't share.  they ALL have more than one and are hogging these trains!! Simply refusing to share. FIVE KIDS ALL REFUSING TO SHARE!! He asks a few times if he can play, they just ignore him and block him from the train table.... He's being so polite and they are just not having it.  I just sit there, astonished and wondering where the hell their parents are and how the hell they are getting away with treating my child like this.  I read the boy's hat--something something churchy christiany something.  OH! They are THOSE kind of kids.
Now I have NOTHING against church or God or Christians, but I DO have something against those kind of goody too shoe parents that care more about their children's appearance than their children's behavior.  And I hate stereotypes, I honestly do. But I spent years in church and in my time, I noticed the clicks and the parents that would do that with their kids--just sort of pawn them off on anyone that thought "oh a baby...how cute" and those that think appearance is more important than manners.
People look at my husband and I and are sometimes intimidated by us--we have piercings and tattoos, we must be murders or robbers about to steal their fancy blackberry--who knows. But when it comes down to it, my children are well behaved (most of the time) and know their manners and would NEVER EVER be that rude to another child. How do you raise a CHILD to be that horrible to other children?! I do not understand!! I have never ever been so proud as a parent as I was at that moment, watching my little baby introduce himself to these kids and try to play and talk to them! He was just so sweet!! After we left, he said, "those kids broke my heart mom. they were mean to me" And I cried!! I just cried!! My poor little innocent baby getting his little heart broken because some kids were too mean?! That just does not fly!! AND WHERE THE HELL WERE THEIR PARENTS?!?!
So, I just want to say.... clothes are not more important than manners and love.
Tattoos and piercings do not mean we are going to rob you.
And a train table in the back of a book store is NOT a babysitter or guardian.
Raise your damn kids right, people!!

Again, I hope this post doesn't offend anyone, it's nothing against Christians at all, I myself am religious, my husband is not--it's just the goody too shoe people that think they are better than everyone else.
Children are the future. I would rather produce open minded, polite children than rude, whiny brats.
End rant.

Love, A.

February 06, 2020

home decor, cute kids and sleepy momma.

YAY TAX RETURN!

In THIS post, part of my resolution was to Redecorate my house-thrifty like. (which really means DON'T SPEND A FORTUNE). Well this past weekend, a friend of mine and I went shopping! My house is nowhere near done but it is looking pretty f'ing fabulous! I wish I would have taken before pictures but in all the hype of new stuff, it completely slipped my mind.

Anyway.... here's a sneak peak as it comes along.  (more to come)

Another resolution was to spoil my kids with love and toys and food and happiness--my baby girl makes it easy, she just wants a squeek toy and puppy's bed. haha.

Hubby & I went to barned & noble the other day (And boy do I have a story about THAT trip....--let's just say I've learned I have amazing children til I have the calmness to tell you that story) and they were so well behaved that they got little paint sets and books.
Please ignore hubby's geat in the background.

aren't they just sweethearts!?
Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!
Love, A.
